Leur territoire fait partie de l&rsquo;Espagne.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong>DIVERSITE <\/strong>Phoenix canariensis est un palmier originaire de l&rsquo;archipel des Canaries. Depuis un plus d&rsquo;un si\u00e8cle, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 diffus\u00e9 dans de nombreuses r\u00e9gions, comme arbre d&rsquo;ornement. Cette diaspora (impossible \u00e0 chiffrer) doit \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent largement d\u00e9passer en nombre la population originelle. Elle repose toutefois sur une base g\u00e9n\u00e9tique tr\u00e8s r\u00e9duite. Les populations pr\u00e9sentes dans l&rsquo;archipel offrent par contre une grande diversit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9tique, en cours d&rsquo;\u00e9tudes en collaboration avec l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Gran-Canaria.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong>CONSERVATION <\/strong>La survie de Phoenix canariensis est actuellement menac\u00e9e par deux fl\u00e9aux, l&rsquo;hybridation avec Phoenix dactylifera, introduit massivement dans l&rsquo;archipel ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, et son extr\u00eame sensibilit\u00e9 au ravageur du palmier, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus. D&rsquo;origine volcanique, elles <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;\">se divisent en deux archipels, avec au sud les \u00eeles de Sotavento (Brava, Fogo, Santiago et Maio) et au nord les \u00eeles de Barlavento (Boa Vista, Sal, S\u00e3o Nicolau, Santa Luzia, S\u00e3o Vicente et Santo Ant\u00e3o).<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">DIVERSITE <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Phoenix atlantica, appel\u00e9 aussi Tamareira, est un palmier end\u00e9mique des \u00eeles du Cap-Vert.
