Les stations Chamaerops de Portofino<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
3 stations ont été recensées dans les années 80 à Portofino (Ligurie) par Silvia Olivari. Leur isolement laisse présumer qu'il pourrait s'agir de spécimens autochtones. Ils viennent de faire l'objet de prélèvements, à des fins d'analyse génétique, à l'initiative du Projet Phoenix. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Les résultats des observations menées dans la palmeraie historique de Sanremo, en Italie, ont été présentés au cours du colloque Dies Palmarum, à la fin de l’année 2010. C’est la première fois que l'on procède à une observation du cycle de vie du palmier-dattier à une latitude aussi septentrionale. Le site de Sanremo représente en effet la limite nord de l’expansion de Phoenix dactylifera. Le palmier-dattier, Phoenix dactylifera, présente une diversité génétique exceptionnelle dans cette région. Cette particularité s’explique par l'ancienneté et la multiplicité des introductions, soit dans un but d’usage rituel (au Moyen Age voire plus tôt), soit dans un but ornemental (à partir de la fin du 19ème siècle).  <\/span>L'étude a porté sur 200 palmiers, qui ont fait l’objet d’un étiquetage, d’une cartographie, d’une documentation photographique, d’un suivi phénologique et d’une caractérisation morpho-génétique. Au delà de son apport à la connaissance de la palmeraie historique, le but de cette étude visait aussi à mettre en place un protocole applicable à d'autres <\/span>régions de culture …\/…<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
